Really Neat Websites You Might Like To Visit

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I've got rather eclectic tastes. As a result, these websites are fairly varied and really have nothing in common except that I found them useful, amusing, or interesting. Here's hoping you have fun browsing them! :)

Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away... OOPS! Wrong story... (g) I graduated from Whitman College, a small private college in Walla Walla, WA. Since they put a link on their alumni directory to my homepage, I figured the least I could do was return the favor, so here it is.

Take a minute to send your friends a postcard. You can send them a virtual bottle of scotch at this site or a cybersandwich at this one!
And while we're talking food, check out the Asian American Kashrus Kosher Recipe site. It has some really cool Kosher Asian recipes on it (No, I'm not kidding. They're really are both Kosher and authentic Asian cuisine) and is also a good place to start learning about traditional Jewish culture.
And of course, what would dinner be without dessert? So here's a link to the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream homepage.
You can even look up the recipe for your favorite after-dinner drink on this on-line bartender's guide

Now that you've eaten, you'll probably want to go out and enjoy yourself, right? The Louvre website has tons of wonderful artwork on-line. You can also use that link to take virtual tour of the Paris catacombs.
The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto has some nice stuff, too.
If your taste in art is a little more unusual, check out the Phillip Wood Gallery, which has an on-line exhibition from the Museum of NonPrimate Art. Both my cats give it high marks.

If you're not in the mood for culture, how about a good book?
The Bujold Nexus will introduce you to one of the best science fiction authors currently writing, Lois McMaster Bujold. Lois has won Hugos, Nebulas, and assorted lesser honors so often, her fans have stopped counting, and her stories are absolutely wonderful! While you're there, go to the "quotes from the Vorkosigan Saga" section and get a mini-taste of her writing. You won't regret it.
Or, if you want something to read right now you can find Cinderella Stories or Forever Knight fanfiction, too.

Feel like a little virtual travel? Start at the city.net countries page and you can go almost anywhere in the world! From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

Tired of travel? If you want to create your own webpage, you can download all sorts of cool goodies at this site.
