CURIOUSER & CURIOUSER

Toronto Police detective Nick Knight (played by Geraint Wyn Davies) is actually an 800 year old Vampire who has long been searching for a way to become mortal again. In C&C his feelings of guilt for his sins against humanity have finally spiraled his life out of control and into a topsy turvy Alice in Wonderland like world. A world where he is finally mortal but all the people in his life have switched roles. A world where he is being investigated for the death of a woman caught in the line of fire and is investigating the stabbing death of a radio announcer who just happens to be his 2000 year old vampire master Lucien LaCroix (played by Nigel Bennett). A world where he is married to his beloved Janette, being bossed around by his partner Schanke and having a torrid affair with his coroner friend and confidante Natalie Lambert. A world where he is still consumed with guilt and searching for redemption. Throughout the episode LaCroix quotes from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" while Nick struggles to make sense of it all. There is something for every flavor of FOREVER KNIGHT fan in this episode. From Nick's enduring relationships to his eternal struggle to manage his guilt. Truly a premier episode and one for which Nigel Bennett won a Gemini Award.

FEVER

LAST KNIGHT
"Life is a gift. As sweet as the freshest peach, as precious as a gilded jewel. I've never been able to understand the logic in willfully surrendering such a treasure. What is there to gain?
How dark can your existence be when compared to an eternal void. Or do you have faith that there is something beyond.
What do you see from where you stand? A bright light at the end of the tunnel? Is it a ray of hope? A glimmer of something better? Or will it burn you like the morning sun? Are the sounds you hear the trumpeting of St. Peter's angels or the screams of Memnoch's tortured souls?
You can't answer that, can you? Because you will never know the answer until after the deed is done. And is your faith really that strong?"
And so...in your eyes I'm the devil.
Nick "No...not the devil LaCroix."
"What then?"
Nick "You...are my closest friend."
"Damn you Nicholas!" peach2.wav
